Dan Rather's Report on Touchscreens

In Sarasota County (Florida), there has been an unusual rate (up to 12%) of people that, even voting in secondary races, decided not to participate in the election for the Congress. Several voters claimed that there was a problem with ES-S touchscreens and Dan Rather analyze the full history in his last report discovering shocking things. Take a look:

The Machinery of Democracy

I am trying this summer to analyze the e-voting issue in the States and I found several interesting sites. I was told that the Smithsonian Museum had an electoral exhibition with all the machines used in the electoral USA's history, but there is also a great virtual site:

R+D Project

Good news! The Spanish Research Ministry awards our group with one R+D Project on electronic voting with 35000 euros for three years (2007/2009) and a four-years fellowship to do a Ph.D. on the same field. ESF Conference

The European Science Foundation (ESF) will hold a Conference next November in Sweden on e-democracy. There is one e-voting track with interesting names like Trechsel or Krimmer and there is an open deadline till August 31st. Remmert (CoE) and Buchsbaum (Austria) are also speakers in other sections.
