The IEDF (Electoral Institute of the Federal District, Mexico) decided to celebrate an e-voting pilot next 2nd july, together with the presidential, deputies, senators and other state-leve elections. They will use their own DRE, developed with scholars from UNAM, Politécnico, UAM & TEC Monterrey.
They will install 40 machines, one per district at México DF, as much close as possible to the IEDF local branches. Obviously people just will be invited to take part in the pilot, as it will not have any legal or political effects. They also announced their intention to conduct a survey on the citizen's evaluation. It's a good idea and we hope to be able to access such data.
